Christmas, Christmastime is here... 27 months

First, a tribute to our sweet dog Niles.  Niles was my first dog and I will always remember him as the very best dog.  He earned it... he graciously welcomed three babies into our home at the advanced age of (we think) 12.  We adopted Niles when my mom found him on an elementary school playground.  He patiently waited for me to come home from school every day and "talked" to me all evening.  We never did get that barking under control :) He was my companion for for three months of bed rest and seemed to understand when three teeny tiny people who first came home attached to very loud alarms took my attention away from him.  I think he was happy when the heart monitors left and those teeny tiny babies grew into very hungry toddlers who dropped lots of food under the trip-trap.  We miss Niles... especially after meals when I say, "Did any of the food on your plates make it into your mouths?"  Thank you for choosing our family, Niles Warner.
Photo update...
This should have gone in last time... I love Klint walking with our children.  They are headed back to Warner Thanksgiving after a nap.

Fun at Zoo Lights

My girl

Four friends observing giraffes at night

Not a great pic, but a milestone... All three at CFA by myself without a stroller or high chairs.  We are holding hands in parking lots and sitting (mostly) still at the table.  Progress!

Jack woke up a little early from nap.  He thought with Daddy's shoes on he could build a really tall building.

We pulled out the nativity set and talked about Christmas.  Look at West... He has unzipped the top of his pajamas.  I think he is telling me that Elvis has a few Christmas tunes and that he would like some background music.

Walker Boone came a little early for Christmas.  We were all so happy to see him.  He may have felt slightly overwhelmed with the affection.

Lilibeth is CRAZY about "Baby Major!!!!"  (She says his name with a squeal of delight!)

Sporting our striped Christmas PJ's

Fancy made her special sugar cookie dough and we rolled out cookies for Santa

Duke and Lilibeth love that Major

Sometimes a pretty Christmas frock can be irritating... so just tuck that into your ruffle butt panties and play!

A new home for Christmas!
Christmas Eve

Everyone wants to be "Dr. Dan" (a character from one of our current favorite books)

Just look at this guy!  All smiles almost all the time :)

Sampling Santa's cookies...

Leaving the cookies for Santa, then.... to all a goodnight!

Christmas morning

Walker reads Santa's letter to the crew and sees the snowflake from the North Pole

Santa did it!  He brought the singing dog with the candy cane that Jack specifically asked for!

Pa rum pa pum pum!

Roller coaster

Wheeeeee!

Papa and his boys in khakis.  He wanted to buy the boys pants and hats like he wears for Christmas.  Well, we tried for a picture...
We spent the weekend after Christmas in Walhalla celebrating with Ben, Papa and the crew.  One morning we took all of the kids to a park in Carmine.  It was so much fun!

West Irby

She-She shelling pecans for West

Crossing the bridge to the swings

So tall!

Ben and Jack climbing

This is crazy... there are no handles on this see-saw!

We decided to decorate the parts of the gingerbread house instead of constructing the house.... the eating is the fun part anyway!

Sweet little hands
I found a few more pics on Klint's phone... first actual meeting with Santa at Gan and Papa's Christmas party
West not sure that he wishes to make Santa's acquaintance
Lilibeth says, "No thank you, Santa."
Emma's 2nd birthday party... fun!.. but we missed West.  He was home sick with Fancy & Duke :(
Fun after Christmas on the train at the zoo.
The Zoo... no more RunAbout for these big kids... we all walked through the zoo!
Enjoying a lollipop waiting on the train
Jack was asleep when I cam e home, but Liibeth and West were not so I had to get them out of bed for one last story.  Some nights after they have been in bed a while and we have all had a few minutes of quiet, I just really want to get them out.  This time is flying by and I know I will miss it so much one day!

Such big kids... we are officially out of the trip-trap and sitting at the table!
